Jamaica is not a failed state

THE EDITOR, Madam:

I disagree with a recent comment in the media that Jamaica is becoming failed state.

Just look at all the development taking place across this beautiful island, and listen to the wonderful things visitors say when they come here.

We must teach and show our children our country’s rich history and potential. What Jamaica needs is all hands on deck to counter the negative – crime, corruption and other evils – and not criticisms.

We must laud the sectors that are doing well, guide the nation’s children to brilliance, and together do what we can to make Jamaica a great place.
