Left in Limbo

This home needs intervention, Grandma cannot manage these boys and, if help doesn’t happen now, we’re going to be reading about them in the news. OCA, CPFSA or whatever need to step in ASAP - jahmekyagyal

Children tend to wear different faces and personalities away from home compared to when they are at home. This has got to be a classic case of that. - Christopher Thomas

I would like to know the back story from Grandma with the 145 absences. Was it a case they were really absent from school or they were skipping school? - Chrissy Searchwell Coombs

The school should have made sure Grandma contacted. With such a high crime rate, the government needs to make education mandatory or jail. - Kerklan Brian

Homeschool them until they are willing to behave like they want to learn. All students should appreciate and respect their educational environment. - Sugar Bunni

I love what the school did. School is for learning, let them find another institution. - George Brown

They may need to put them in a juvenile centre. No school will want to take them. The ministry should have an offenders database accessible to school administrators before they accept a child from another school. - Sandra Downer

Why didn’t they try separating them? They gave up too early? - Denise Hylton-Leetz

Disruptive students need to go to special schools where they are assessed and given the attention/treatment they need for rehabilitation. Regular schools should not have to teach them with the children who are able to adapt to learning in a regular school environment. Time to build reform centres where disruptive students can be assessed and given the attention they need. - Winnie Anderson-Brown

Systems should be in place that, when ordinary schools cannot handle them, there is an institution set up for these children instead of having them not having anywhere to learn and do better. It takes more than just parents to raise and nurture children well. - Mega Money-Magnet Annastasia

The moment I hear grandparent, I ask where are the parents. This sound like troubled kids wanting their parents. Don’t give up on them. - Angella Bryan

Stand your ground on this one ,principal. Do NOT accept them bk, and I hope no other school does. Disruptive students shouldn’t be among the regular kids. Let the parents/guardians teach them at home. - JayMal JayMal
