A young and diverse slate of honourees were given their flowers at Wednesday’s Council of Fashion Designers of America Awards, including Jamaica’s very own Edvin Thompson, who was named American Emerging Designer of the Year for his Theophilio line. The glittery ceremony – the fashion industry’s version of the Oscars – was held in person at The Pool + The Grill in New York after a virtual ceremony in 2020 due to the pandemic, and attendees did not disappoint.
