Combining self-care and Christianity, Rachel Stanbury is passionate about helping persons take care of their outward appearance while nourishing their inward beauty. The young entrepreneur established her business Rach Royality when she was only 16 years old.

“I started Rach Royality when I was 16 at the St Andrew High School for Girls. After I completed my CSEC exams, I had a lot of time on my hands, and I have always wanted to build and own my business, so I decided to spend that time after sixth form to build something that I was passionate about, which is beauty and self-care,” the 20-year-old told Living during a telephone interview.

Rach Royality’s line of organically made products targets various skin conditions such as dry skin and acne and includes items such as body butter and soufflés.

“We currently have face moisturisers, body oils, and body scrubs. We have body soufflés, body butters, lip-glosses, and hand sanitisers,” Stanbury, who is pursuing a Bachelor of Laws at the University of London, stated. “We use all natural ingredients such as [that in our] mango butter. We have sweet almond oil, aloe vera juice, and vitamin E,” she continued.

Influenced by her foundation in Jesus Christ, Stanburry’s brand is big on affirmations, including powerful statements on the labels of her products with the aim of improving the mental health and self-image of those who use the products. She shares that her mission is to ensure that she walks in her God-given purpose while utilising her passion for business administration and entrepreneurship. “For me personally, I just want to walk in purpose and continue to water the seed that God has planted in me for business and entrepreneurship ... . When I walk according to His will, He will grant me the desires of my heart. At the end of the day, I want everything that I do to be to the glory of God.”

Although she has been through many trials, her main focus remains ensuring that she builds a legacy that will outlive her and continue to have an impact on other people’s lives.

“Even though I am young, I think I have been through different experiences that have allowed me to be more mature. I think that different experiences have given me a different outlook on life. For example, losing my parents has instilled somewhat of a resilience in me. Another life experience would be when I was deputy head girl at St Andrew High School for Girls. I was able to positively impact the lives of students,” Stanbury shared.

As of right now, Stanbury has big plans for her business, one of which is her goal to open a Rach Royality Beauty Bar that provides full services for men, women, and children. In addition to this, Stanbury is working to expand her brand. “For my business now, we launched our self-care journal. We are planning on launching our candle collection and serums, toners and sunscreen,” she said.
