Paco Rabanne woos SAINT’s Dru Campbell
Cementing her place as one of the faces to watch in the global fashion industry, SAINT International star Dru Campbell is suited in luxe nautical-influenced womenswear for Paco Rabanne’s just-released Pre-Fall 2025 lookbook.
This is close on the heels of the adolescent beauty from Belmont District, Clarendon, strutting at Paris Fashion Week for Rabanne’s Spring/Summer 2025 collection back in September.
For her latest high-end assignment shot in the City of Lights, Campbell was chicly styled by Marie-Amelie Sauve and postured in front of the camera for lensman Adam Peter Johnson.
“I so enjoyed working with the Rabanne team,” the 18-year-old model relayed to The Sunday Gleaner from Paris of shooting the lookbook shoot on November 28.
“I get excited just seeing the clothes. They always make me look beautiful, and I love them. I am grateful for the opportunity to continue my relationship with such an important luxury house, which was actually the fourth show I walked for in February in my debut season.”
The Pre-Fall 2025 collection draws inspiration from Rabanne creative director Julien Dossena’s early upbringing in the fishing village of Brittany, located in the northernmost region of France.
Per a press release issued by the storied Parisian house to the global media last week, the newly unveiled collection, which will hit the racks at luxury shopping locales next year, “is a celebration of the intersection between functional design and high-fashion craftsmanship. Through a modern reinterpretation of classic seaside staples and the infusion of Dossena’s signature bohemian and grunge influences, the collection delivers a fresh, contemporary take on maritime fashion.”
Throughout the 37-image lookbook, the uber-hot SAINT model is outfitted in terry-cloth tops and skirts with graphic stripes. Plus, slinky jersey dresses that feature swimsuit-inspired cutouts offer hints of seaside meets the chic side.
Lace-trimmed baby doll dresses, vintage-style leather motorcycle jackets, gold chain mail and black lace evening dresses are among other pieces comprising the latest collection brought to life by Dossena.
SAINT chief executive officer Deiwght Peters is, as expected, pleased with Campbell’s Rabanne’s booking and is hard at work strategising her next major move. “Dru represents one of the new generation of Jamaican and Caribbean fashion superstars whose fast rise to the top is stunning as it is carefully planned,” he shared.
“A multilevel global image shoot with a prestigious legacy fashion brand such as Paco Rabanne secures her status as one of the world’s hottest new models as heralded by powerful media brands such as models.com and Vogue.”
