Mark Anthony wants women to suit up with bespoke Timeless collection
Redefining elegance and empowerment, all while exuding effortless confidence. That’s the winning combination career women can explore once they suit up for Mark Anthony’s one-of-a-kind style experience. Known for his signature touch of class in menswear, the fashion designer is now launching his first-ever female line titled Timeless by Mark Anthony.
“We’re starting to see a shift in how women’s formal wear is perceived. Women are increasingly looking for options that fuse comfort with sophistication. And I see more brands exploring tailored designs that break away from traditional silhouettes. The Timeless collection is a part of this evolution, focusing on versatility and personalisation to meet the diverse needs of modern women,” he explained to The Sunday Gleaner.
Using only the finest materials, each piece is created with meticulous craftsmanship, combining the classic tuxedo silhouettes with modern touches to ensure that every woman feels confident and sophisticated.
The collection is a limited edition with only 50 pieces, and every piece will be specially made for each woman. “Customers will have a tailored consultation to choose the fabric, style, and other elements that will make their tuxedo truly one-of-a-kind. It is important to note that all tuxedos in this exclusive collection must be pre-ordered.”
Although his focus was menswear, Anthony discovered that his female customers, who comprised mostly women shopping for their partners, would query about suits and tuxedos for her. This sparked both his interest and his creativity. Soon after, he came up with the inspiring idea to design this stylish bespoke female line.
“Jamaican culture is rich in vibrancy, creativity, and resilience. As a designer, I draw inspiration from our rich culture, vibrancy, creativity, and resilience, incorporating these elements into my designs. The colours, textures, and confidence inherent in Jamaican women are reflected in the Timeless collection. Each tuxedo aims to resonate with their dynamic spirit while allowing them to express their unique identities.”
This collection, he says, has been months in the making. From the website, the apps, consultation, and fittings to the photos and video shoots, it took eight to 10 months to complete before the premiere.
Starting out with ivory and black suits, the diverse line required an opulence like no other. Whether it’s a two-, three-, or four-piece tux, the expert designer will customise your look with a selection of colours and premium fabrics tailored to your unique style.
In order to bring Timeless to life, he enlisted the assistance of public speaking coach and speaker Krystal Tomlinson. Embodying style, confidence, and empowerment with every stride, she was a perfect partner for this campaign.
“As a well-known advocate for women’s empowerment, her involvement perfectly aligns with the ethos of the Timeless collection. She embodies confidence and style, and I believe she will inspire many women to embrace their elegance and uniqueness when considering a tuxedo. Having someone like her as the face of this campaign is a fantastic way to showcase what this collection stands for,” he revealed.
He hopes that these cutting-edge suits will make the wearer feel powerful as she expresses herself through fashion, embraces her individuality, and challenges the status quo and traditional norms surrounding formal wear.
“Fashion is an expression of self, and I want women to feel that they have the freedom to choose what makes them feel confident regardless of societal expectations. Through this campaign, I aim to inspire conversations about femininity, style, and empowerment, not just in Jamaica but on a global scale,” he said.
