Marking its 25th anniversary, Jamaica Reach to Recovery (JR2R) painted the city pink on Sunday with its annual Pink Run. Postponed from its usual October staging because of Hurricane Melissa, the new date still drew supporters out in their numbers to honour breast cancer warriors and survivors across the island. JR2R also used the occasion to collect relief items for families affected by the hurricane, which were handed over to Food For The Poor. From tutus and cowboy hats to clouds of pink holi powder, with hugs and smiles in between, Something Extra has the social highlights.
