Dream House | A home above the blue

Standing on a deserted beachfront at the base of a 90-foot cliff, we look up at a house perched at the edge of the precipice.
Its modern architectural lines captivate us with features such as projecting sun-shade roofs that appear to float in mid-air. Floor-to-ceiling sliding glass walls create a seamless visual connection between the interior and the panoramic seascape in all its splendour. Glass-railed balconies overlook the seascape, while white-painted concrete walls contrast with mosaic stone finishes.
The approximately 8,000-square-foot home offers six air-conditioned bedrooms, each with en suite bathrooms featuring hydrotherapy soaking tubs, walk-in glass rain showers, and floating double-sink quartz vanities.
The living, dining, and kitchen areas, the latter featuring a quartz-countertop island, flow seamlessly into one another. Polished porcelain tiles cover the floors while recessed lighting illuminates the interiors. The furnishings reflect the home’s contemporary aesthetic while balancing function and style. A floating staircase connects the floors, and a garage with an automated door accommodates two vehicles.
The man-made outdoor setting, interconnected with nature, encourages you to spend more time outdoors because of the large infinity-edge pool and built-in therapeutic hot tub. The covered and open-air entertainment and relaxation terraces include a wet bar pavilion and a rooftop recreation deck. A glass fence runs along the steep cliff edge bordering the quarter-acre property to protect the occupants and capture the scenic views. An outdoor elevator adds another unexpected feature.
This spectacular dream house in St Mary is about six miles east of Ocho Rios, an approximately 18-minute drive away.
