Rebranded the Negril Universal Film Festival (NUFF), the Gareth-Cobran-created valentine to Afro-centric films, including shorts, features, and documentaries returned for its seventh staging on the Seven Mile Beach on Thursday night.

With the white sands of the Skylark Negril Beach Resort and the lapping waves of the Caribbean Sea at their feet, guests turned out in stylish numbers to take in the 25th anniversary screening of documentarian Stephanie Black’s Life and Debt as the opening night selection for the former Skylark Film Festival.

Sunday Social was on people-watching duty for NUFF’s welcome return on the north coast.
