JUST IN: Another major bush fire in rural St Andrew

A major fire is now raging in Content Gap in rural St Andrew.
The Jamaica Fire Brigade said it received the call around 3 o’clock this afternoon and dispatched one unit.
It could not provide an update on the situation at this hour.
However, video footage received by The Gleaner shows a fairly large bush fire which could further spread because of the wind.
Just over a month ago a bush fire which lasted for more than a week destroyed hundreds of acres of farms in the nearby community of Mavis Bank.

Farmers are trying to recover from the losses.
