The Gleaner has obtained a copy of the quarry licence connected to a major hotel development which was granted to relocate sand from one location to the other.

This is in contrast to claims by the Negril Chamber of Commerce of “shady sand-mining activities”, connected to a major hotel development in the tourism mecca.

The developers said that they sought the licence which was necessary to relocate sand that was found during excavation work on the foundation on the property on which the hotel is to be built.

Below is a copy of the licence numbered 2110 that was granted to Yabyanas Limited.
