Body found in burnt out Clarendon house

The charred remains of a man identified only as Andre was found in a house which was destroyed by fire early this morning.
It was reported that at about 4:30 a.m. gunmen entered premises at Johnson Lane, Bucknor in Clarendon.
The gunmen opened gunfire at occupants of a house and set the building on fire.
Preliminary investigations revealed that Andre, a female companion and a baby were inside the house when they heard male voices purporting to be police officers ordering them to open the door.
When their orders were not met the men then went to the rear of the building, tore off the grill, entered the premises and shot Andre, then set the house ablaze.
The female companion managed to escape with the child.
The police are investigating.
