The 64th staging of the Denbigh Agricultural Show is now underway in Clarendon.
Among the highlights of this year’s show is a symposium that will include presentations on organic farming and initiatives aimed at encouraging more young people to get involved in agriculture.
President of the Jamaica Agricultural Society (JAS) Senator Norman Grant says the symposium will also provide farmers with valuable information on access to funding and other resources.
The annual three-day event will be officially opened this afternoon and Grant expects over 60,000 persons, including visitors from Europe, Canada and the Caribbean, to attend.
