The award is presented to a local agricultural business that ‘operates and demonstrates good agricultural practices and appropriate post-harvest management to meet the demands of the marketplace’. AUSTROJAM Ltd was founded in March 2008 by Austrian Martin Zsifkovics, concentrates on two operations: organic local vegetable farming with the support of Jamaican farmers and the distribution of Retzecco sparkling wines. AUSTROJAM ltd is also a member of the Jamaica Hotel and Tourist Association (JHTA).
