Nominations are open today for the post of People’s National Party president.
The nomination period will remain open until Friday, with the party to host a special delegates' conference to choose its new president on March 26.
Dr Peter Phillips is expected to go unopposed for the position of PNP President.
However, he will still need at least 50 per cent of delegates to affirm his president.
His expected rival, Peter Bunting, announced his withdrawal from the running last month, saying his consultations with the Parliamentary and local government leadership revealed that a large majority feels that is Dr Phillips’ turn to lead the PNP.
