#JAVOTES2024 | North East St Catherine running smoothly

Returning officer for North East St Catherine, Michael Terrelonge, said that the 106 polling divisions have been running smoothly.

When the polls close at 5:00 pm, the officials will gather at the Riversdale Health Clinic for the counting process, he also noted.

"We are staffed with the personnel to deal with the voting process, so we don't anticipate anything untoward," Terrelonge said.

Persons were observed casting their ballots at several polling stations, with the elderly and the disabled being escorted by supporters of both the Jamaica Labour Party (JLP) and the People's National Party (PNP).

Members of the Jamaica Constabulary Force along with the auxiliary police (one day police) maintained a visible presence.
