Gun wrapped in T-shirt seized in St Andrew

The St Andrew North police seized an illegal firearm and ammunition Sunday during an operation in the White Hall community.
It's the sixth such weapon removed from the streets in the division since the start of the year.
Reports indicate that around 11:30 a.m., officers found a Springfield XD 40 Calibre firearm, with its serial number affixed, wrapped in a grey T-shirt near the 100 Lane and 60 White Hall intersection.
A magazine containing eight rounds of ammunition was also seized.
No arrests were made.
