Former state minister Errol Ennis has died
Former Member of Parliament for Portland Western, Errol Ennis, has died at age 83.
Ennis also served as junior agriculture minister as well as state minister in the finance ministry.
In paying tribute to him on Thursday, the People's National Party, of which he was a member, said "Our heartfelt condolences go out to his loved ones, friends, and colleagues. May his contributions to Jamaica's development be remembered for years to come, and may his soul rest in peace."
Meanwhile, West Portland MP Daryl Vaz, stated on social media platform X that "Errol was more than just a political counterpart in West Portland, he was a friend and our strong friendship often confused many due to our opposing views on politics."
Ennis was Member of Parliament for Portland Western between 1989 and 2007.
