Trelawny Municipal Corporation collects $382 million in property taxes
The Trelawny Municipal Corporation collected $382 million in property taxes during the recently concluded 2024–2025 fiscal year.
Chief Executive Officer Tamoy Sinclair revealed that the amount represents 99.5 percent of the target set by the Ministry of Local Government.
The target was $384 million.
"The mobile collection unit, which went on the road at the beginning of March, collected $80 million," Sinclair reported.
Mayor of Falmouth, Collen Gager, expressed gratitude to the team.
"We fell short of the target, but the staff showed dedication and hard work worthy of congratulations," Gager said.
