Air traffic communications entity SITA (Société Internationale de Télécommunications Aéronautiques) is dismissing reports of an outage impacting airlines.

The company says all is well with its systems.

“We can confirm that our systems have been and are working normally with no disruptions detected,” said a SITA spokesperson in a statement Thursday.

Earlier today, regional airline Caribbean Airlines reported that its Boeing 737 jet services were experiencing delays, citing SITA's satellite communication system, and warned passengers of delays.

But in a response, SITA said its systems are working normally.

Meanwhile, in a subsequent media release, Caribbean Airlines advised that its B-737 services have resumed operating, following delays earlier today, which it reiterated were caused by satellite communication issues.
