Alleged leader of the Clansman Gang, Tesha Miller, and 22 other alleged members of the gang, including a medical doctor, are to be tried on January 7 of next year.

The court was also informed that three more persons are expected to join the matter but two have not yet been identified by a witness.

The trial date was confirmed when the men appeared in the Home Circuit Court today for a plea and case management hearing.

The accused men, who are charged under the Criminal Justice (Suppression of Criminal Organizations) Act, commonly called the anti-gang legislation, are alleged to have participated in several criminal activities between August 5, 2017 and August 22, 2022, in St Catherine as alleged members of the Clansman Gang.

The charges against them include murder, conspiracy to murder, attempted murder, robbery with aggravation, illegal possession of firearm and illegal possession of ammunition.

All of the defendants except the medical were remanded.

Case management is to continue on July 22.
