21-y-o man charged for fatal stabbing of colleague during dispute
A 21-year-old man has been charged with murder over the fatal stabbing of a colleague during a dispute at their workplace in Lakes Pen, St Catherine earlier this month.
Lamar Miller, of New Harbour Village in the parish, was charged on Friday in connection with the death of Jerome James, also 21, of Portmore, St Catherine.
According to police reports, the incident occurred around 6:00 p.m. on May 19.
An altercation reportedly developed between the two men while on the job, during which Miller allegedly stabbed James in the left side of his neck with a sharp object.
James was rushed to the Spanish Town Hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries while receiving treatment.
Following an investigation, Miller was taken into custody and later charged with murder.
A date is to be set for him to appear in court.
