MGM Muthu Hotels Set to Open First Jamaican Resort
International hotel chain MGM Muthu Hotels is set to make its debut in Jamaica with the takeover of the Decameron Club Caribbean, Ramada All Inclusive, located in Runaway Bay, St Ann.
The new property, to be rebranded as the Grand Muthu Club Caribbean, is scheduled to open on August 1.
Decameron Hotels announced on Wednesday that it will cease operations at the Runaway Bay resort on July 31, assuring guests of continued full service until that date.
Bookings for stays beyond July 31 have been re-accommodated at the Decameron Montego Beach in Montego Bay.
The move marks MGM Muthu’s first venture into Jamaica and the English-speaking Caribbean, expanding the company’s global footprint, which includes over 50 properties across 12 countries.
Representatives from MGM Muthu Hotels have expressed excitement about entering the Jamaican market, highlighting the island’s appeal as a top tourist destination in the Caribbean.
The transition is expected to bring new investment and renewed energy to the Runaway Bay resort, offering guests enhanced amenities and services under the MGM Muthu brand.
