St Catherine resident, Jada Anderson, who was held by the police after she allegedly prevented the arrest of her boyfriend, was granted an extension of her bail when she appeared in the St Catherine Parish Court on Wednesday.

Anderson is answering to a charge of misprision of felony.

When she appeared before Acting Senior Parish Court Judge Janelle Nelson-Gayle, the matter was postponed until September 9.

It is alleged that on June 3, Anderson's boyfriend committed a crime and instead of reporting it, she assisted in hiding him from the police.

She was arrested and subsequently charged and granted station bail.
