A St Catherine labourer has been accused of breaking into a woman's house, raping her and stealing her cash and cellular phones on June 6.

Jevorn Miller, otherwise called ‘Jev’, of Heartlands, Spanish Town, is charged with burglary, assault at common law, robbery with aggravation, rape and grievous sexual assault.

The Spanish Town police say about 2:30 a.m., the woman was at home sleeping when she was awoken by Miller, who had gained entry to her house through a broken window.

He reportedly forced her to perform sexual activities before stealing two cellular phones and approximately $50,000 in cash.

A report was made to the police and Miller was arrested and was later charged after being pointed out on an identification parade.

His court date is being finalised.
