The police say they have seized an additional firearm following Monday's foiled murder plot on Jacks Hill Road in St Andrew.

The police theorise that the firearm, a Sig Sauer nine millimetre pistol with 15 rounds of ammunition which was seized during a secondary operation on Tuesday afternoon, may be linked to the incident.

It brings the total number of weapons seized in the ongoing investigation to five.

On Monday, a reported confrontation between the police and armed men who were allegedly contracted to carry out a murder on Jacks Hill Road, resulted in five men being fatally shot and the initial seizure of four firearms.

A sixth man managed to escape from the scene.

The police have not yet released the identities of the five men who were killed.

However, they have appealed for a Courtney Ashley, also known as ‘Bloodstain’, to report to the Counter-Terrorism and Organised Crime Investigations Branch (C-TOC).

They are also urging anyone with information regarding the whereabouts of Ashley, or who have any details that could assist the police with their investigation, to contact C-TOC at 876-967-1389, Crime Stop at 311, the National Intelligence Bureau at 811 or the nearest police station.
