Body of man with gunshot wounds found in container in Spanish Town
The body of a man with gunshot wounds was found in a container on the compound of the non-profit community organisation Children First in Spanish Town, St Catherine, on Sunday night.
The deceased has been identified as 31-year-old labourer Orlando Roper, otherwise called 'Bike Head', of Monk Street.
The organisation is located on Monk Street.
Reports are that explosions were heard in the area and the police were summoned.
Upon arrival, Roper's body was found lying on its back in a container on the compound.
Checks revealed what appeared to be gunshot wounds to the upper body.
He was transported to the nearby Spanish Town Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
The matter is being investigated by the Spanish Town police.
