Labourer slain, woman hurt in St Elizabeth gun attack
A 33-year-old labourer was shot dead and a 21-year-old woman injured when gunmen opened fire on patrons at a bar in Black River, St Elizabeth on Friday night.
The dead man has been identified as Calvin Summon, otherwise called 'Dangles', a labourer of Hodges Land, Black River.
The injured woman, a 21-year-old, has been admitted to hospital.
Both were among patrons at the establishment when the shooting started at about 10 p.m., reports say.
The two were rushed to the Black River Hospital, where Summon was pronounced dead. The woman remains under treatment.
The Black River police are investigating.
