The Manchester police have confirmed that the man who was found hanging from a mango tree in Tweedside district on Friday was the main suspect in the killing of a school teacher and her daughter in St Catherine.

The deceased is Brandon Antonio Maine, a 35-year-old taxi operator of Daniel Avenue, Naggo Head, Portmore, St Catherine.

Reports are that about 2 p.m. on Friday, Maine was found suspended from the tree.

At the time of his death he was wanted in connection with the murders of 14-year-old Talia Wright and her mother, 34-year-old teacher Tara Pinnock, both of Mount View, St Catherine.

Both were found dead at home on Thursday with multiple stab wounds and their throats slashed.

Following the discovery, the police made a public appeal to Maine, a taxi operator, to report to the nearest police station or the Spanish Town Criminal Investigation Branch.
