The Jamaica Football Federation (JFF) has appointed Rudolph Speid as interim head coach of the Reggae Boyz.

The appointment runs from December 15, 2025 through to March 31, 2026.

The decision was made following a meeting with the JFF board today, with Speid expected to lead the team through the intercontinental play-offs.

Speid had previously worked as Steve McClaren’s technical advisor throughout the failed Concacaf World Cup Qualifying campaign.

McClaren resigned with immediate effect on Tuesday after Jamaica’s scoreless game against Curacao, which saw the Reggae Boyz missing out on automatic qualification for the 2026 FIFA World Cup.

In addition to the Speid appointment, the JFF is also in talks with Miguel Coley’s representatives to serve as the team’s assistant coach.
