Policeman among four held with goats in car in Clarendon

A police constable is among four persons, including two teens, who were arrested after being found with goats and other items in the wee hours of this morning in Clarendon.

The Gleaner understands that around 3:50 a.m., the police intercepted a grey Toyota Probox motor vehicle with four occupants along the Morgan Pass main road.

According to the police, a search of the vehicle revealed three goats, a loaded Glock 19 pistol, two cell phones, a laptop, and a bag.

The four occupants were taken into custody.

The Gleaner understands that checks revealed that one of the occupants is a 22-year-old policeman assigned to the police’s Specialized Operations Branch, who resides at a May Pen, Clarendon, address.

The others in custody are a 20-year-old chef, a 17-year-old, and an 18-year-old, all of a Rectory Land, Clarendon, address.

They are expected to be questioned.
