Shooting at barbershop in Commodore leaves owner dead and 80-y-o man injured

Two men were shot, one fatally, at a barbershop in Commodore, St Catherine on Saturday night.

Dead is the shop’s operator, 51-year-old Andrew Richards, otherwise called ‘Killer’.

The other victim is an 81-year-old man of a Linstead, St Catherine address.

It is reported that at about 10:15, Richards was at his place of business when it was invaded by unknown assailant(s) who fired shots, injuring him and the elderly man.

They were assisted to the Linstead Hospital, where Richards was pronounced dead and the senior citizen was admitted.

No motive has been established in the incident.

The Linstead Criminal Investigation Branch is probing the incident.
