Taxi operator fatally shot in Old Harbour

A man was gunned down in the Bowers district of Old Harbour, St Catherine, early this morning.
He has been identified by police as 56-year-old taxi operator Rudolph 'Rusty' Francis, who lived in the area.
The police reported that explosions were heard in the area about 12:40 a.m.
Francis was later found along a roadway suffering from gunshot wounds.
The police were summoned.
The scene was processed and the body was removed to hospital, where death was confirmed.
No motive has been established for the killing.
The Old Harbour Criminal Investigation Branch is probing the matter.
