Fifty thousand dollars each, in cash donations, was delivered to several children’s homes and infirmaries this holiday season. This support came through Infiniti Co-operative Credit Union’s Hope for the Holidays initiative, as communities continued to recover from Hurricane Melissa.
In the spirit of endless possibilities, the credit union also gifted special Christmas surprises, care packages, and seasonal treats. These included traditional Christmas cake and sorrel, creating moments of joy and celebration for both children and the elderly.
The donations represent the core principle of People Helping People in action, reaching homes across the island. Support was delivered to the Granville Child Care Facility in Trelawny, the Hanover Infirmary, the Montego Bay Boys and Girls Club, the Manchester Infirmary, Mt Zion House of Refuge Children’s Home in St Catherine, and the Jamaica National Children’s Home in Kingston. These funds will provide critical support for daily operations and essential services, offering stability to children and residents during a challenging period.
True to the co-operative movement’s principle of ‘Concern for Community’, this initiative reflects how Infiniti Co-operative Credit Union works to build resilience and provide support where it’s needed most.
