Ammar’s in downtown Kingston gutted by fire

The Ammar’s department store in downtown Kingston has been gutted by a fire.
The losses are believed to be in the millions.
The fire department indicated that a call reporting a blaze at the establishment was received minutes after 8:00 a.m.
A unit from the York Park Fire Station responded.
Reinforcements from other fire stations had to be called in.
Around 30 firefighters worked to battle the blaze.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
