Counterfeit US notes and illegal gun seized in Trelawny, two arrested
A man and a woman have been arrested by police in Trelawny following the seizure of counterfeit US currency and an illegal firearm at a premises in Mendez Town on Tuesday.
Reports from the Falmouth police are that at about 8:30 a.m., a team conducted a targeted raid in the area.
During a search of the premises, a Smith & Wesson Springfield 9mm pistol and one round of ammunition were found concealed in a couch.
Several counterfeit United States notes were also seized.
The two individuals were arrested.
The investigation is ongoing.
