University student Kengu Black, charged with causing the deaths of four people in a crash last year, is to return to court on February 10 after the matter was adjourned on Friday.

Her $800,000 bail was extended by the St Catherine Parish Court.

The case was adjourned to allow the Office of the Director of Public Prosecutions to enter a voluntary bill of indictment, transferring the matter to the circuit court.

The bill of indictment is a tool used to speed up cases by allowing serious matters to bypass a preliminary examination in the parish court and move directly to the circuit court for trial.

Black, the daughter of businessman Kenneth “Skeng Don” Black, faces four counts of causing death by dangerous driving.

The victims were 22-year-old Tyesha Manhertz, 29-year-old Wendy Lammie, 27-year-old Andre McLeish, and eight-month-old Trey Stewart.

According to allegations, at approximately 12:04 a.m. on March 30, 2025, Black was driving a 2022 Mercedes-Benz motor car when her vehicle collided with a Toyota Probox motor car that had overturned, resulting in the deaths of the four persons.
