Soldier gunned down along Waltham Park Road

A soldier was shot and killed along Waltham Park Road in St Andrew on Tuesday night.
Information is that the soldier and a policeman, who were off duty, were driving along the roadway when the vehicle they were travelling in developed mechanical problems.
It is further reported that while they were attending to the vehicle, gunshots rang out.
The soldier was shot.
He was taken to hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
Cop from the St Andrew South Division cordoned off the scene as investigators combed the area for clues.
