Man charged for robbing, stabbing teen boy who was walking home

Detectives attached to the St Andrew Central Police Division have charged a man for stabbing a teen boy during a robbery as the minor was walking home.
Charged with robbery with aggravation and wounding with intent is 20-year-old Antwon Grolles of Spanish Town Road, Kingston 13.
Grolles was arrested during an operation at his home on Monday, February 16.
He was later interviewed in the presence of his attorney and subsequently charged.
The police report that about 5:25 p.m. on Friday, June 13, 2025, a teenager was walking home along Birmingham Avenue in Kingston 10 when Grolles approached him and demanded his mobile phone.
The teenager reportedly refused, after which Grolles stabbed him and escaped with $30,000.
The teen was treated at hospital, and the matter was reported to the police.
Investigators were led to Grolles’ home after pursuing several lines of enquiry, where he was apprehended.
His court date is being finalised.
