Portmore man charged for allegedly assaulting spouse during dispute

A 40-year-old Portmore man has been arrested and charged following an alleged attack on his spouse at their home in Gregory Park, St Catherine.
Keran Sampson, a sales representative of Portmore Villa, Gregory Park, has been charged with unlawful wounding and assault occasioning bodily harm.
Reports from the police are that about 11:30 p.m. on Friday, Sampson and the woman were at home when an argument developed between them.
During the altercation, Sampson allegedly assaulted the woman, causing swelling and bruising to her body.
He allegedly then used a pair of scissors to stab the woman in her hand, causing it to bleed.
A report was subsequently made to the police.
Sampson was arrested after being identified by the woman and was later charged following a question-and-answer interview.
His court date is being finalised.
