A 28-year-old Windsor, St Ann, man has been charged with setting the house of a man on fire during a dispute.

Charged with arson is David Humes.

Humes is also charged with unauthorised possession of ammunition, arising from the discovery of cartridges at his home.

Reports from the St Ann Bay police are that about 2:00 p.m. on Monday, August 10, Humes and another man who lives in the same community became involved in an argument.

During the dispute, Humes reportedly set the man’s house on fire.

A report was made to the police, and an investigation was launched.

As part of the investigation, the police conducted an operation at Humes’ residence, where a search of the premises resulted in the seizure of seven 20-gauge cartridges.

Humes was taken into custody and subsequently charged with both offences.

His court date is being finalised.
