Chairman of the Jamaica Police Federation, and now Assistant Superintendent Arleen McBean, is among several Jamaica Constabulary Force (JCF) officers promoted to senior ranks, the force has announced.

The promotion was confirmed by the JCF in a statement on social media on Thursday, following a ceremony held at the Office of Commissioner of Police Dr Kevin Blake in St Andrew. It said Blake made the announcements today.

Among those promoted are Assistant Commissioner of Police DeVaughn Colquhoun, Senior Superintendents Adrian Hamilton and Arielle Brown Blake, and Superintendents Keisha Oakley and Alfred McDonald.

Also elevated in rank are Deputy Superintendents Howard Wilks, Nicholas Shorter and Arlene Robinson Johnson, alongside Assistant Superintendents McBean and Robert Bailey.

McBean, who was previously a sergeant, leads the federation that represents rank-and-file officers from constable to inspector.

Her promotion places her within the senior officer ranks, which fall under the representation of the Police Officers Association.

The JCF said the promotions form part of its ongoing effort to strengthen leadership across the organisation.

“Congratulations to these exceptional leaders as they take on greater responsibilities, continuing our collective mission to transform, protect and be One Force for Good,” the statement added.
