Penn Relays 2018 | Five straight 4x100m wins for Edwin Allen

PHILADELPHIA, Pennsylvania: 
Defending champions Edwin Allen made it five wins in a row, after winning the High School Girls Championships of America 4x100m relays at the Penn Relays at Franklin Field on Friday.

The quartet of Peter Gaye McKenzie, Kevona Davis, Fredricka McKenzie and Kasheika McKenzie, held off a strong challenge from Holmwood Technical to win on 44.79 seconds.

Holmwood, which actually led on the third leg, were second in 45.05 seconds, as Hydel closed out the top three, after finishing in 45.38 seconds.

St Jago 46.07 seconds were fifth, St Catherine High 46.22 seconds, ran sixth and Petersfield finished eight in 46.81 seconds.

"We are now the sprint factory among the girls and we will be aiming to stretch our winning record to double figures", said a beaming head coach Michael Dyke after the win.
