Vere hammer MoBay 11-0 in Women’s League

Vere United opened their account in the Jamaica Women's Premier League (JWPL) with an emphatic 11-0 drubbing of Real MoBay AFC at the Wembley Centre of Excellence today.

Striker Dahlia Whyte scored a four-timer in the 12th, 30th, 57th and 77th minutes to get things rolling in a dominant performance from the Clarendon-based Vere.

Keiba Cowan and Tasheika Hamilton helped themselves to hattricks with Cowan netting in the fourth, 28th and 50th minutes, while Hamilton got her three-timer in the 33rd, 46th and 47th minutes.

Jully Ann Howard scored the other goal in the 46th minute for the Dwight Smith-coached Vere.
