Samoa’s Alex Rose stopped Jamaica’s trio of Traves Smikle, Kai Chang and Fedrick Dacres to win the men’s discus with 65.86 metres at the Racers’ Grand Prix this evening at the National Stadium.

The effort was done in Rose’s third attempt as Smikle had to settle for second with a best throw of 65.15 metres. Chang took the third spot following his season’s best effort of 63.19.

World Championships’ 2019 silver medallist and five-time national champion, Dacres had to settle for fourth, as he could only muster a best throw at 62.85 metres.
