Orlando Bennett to use experience in quest for first World Champs final
Jamaican 110-metre hurdles national champion Orlando Bennett says he will be using his experience as he aims for his first-ever final appearance at the World Athletics Championships.
In his fourth World Championships appearance, Bennett is hoping to finally get into the last eight.
He hopes his previous experience can tip the scale in his favour with the ultimate ambition of a spot on the podium.
“Everybody has their own experience. People will have less experience and still achieve more, so I just have to use my experience to my advantage and come out here and do my best,” he said.
“This would be my first World Championships final so that’s the aim and the podium is the aim.”
He began his campaign with a strong win in his heat, racing to the lead in 13.20 seconds.
