Bryan Levell will be waving Jamaica’s flag high in the men’s 200 metres as he advanced in a blistering time of 19.78 seconds at the Tokyo World Athletics Championships.

Levell followed up on his dominating performance in the heats to book his spot in the final.

He will be Jamaica’s only competitor in the final, however, as Christopher Taylor and Adrian Kerr both failed to advance.

Taylor ran a personal best of 20.21 but could only finish fifth in his semifinal, and out of qualification contention.

It was a similar story for Kerr, who equalled his personal best of 20.08 to finish fifth in his semifinal.

The final is set for tomorrow at 8:06 a.m. Jamaica time.
