Guyana notch third straight Nations League win

SAN JUAN, Puerto Rico (CMC):
Guyana climbed to the top of Group A in League B after thumping Dominica 5-1 to register their third consecutive victory in the Concacaf Nations League on Thursday.
Playing at the Estadio Centroamericano de Mayagüez, Osaze De Rosario opened the scoring in the 27th minute with a header from inside the box before Omari Glasgow doubled Guyana’s lead in the 42nd minute with a superb free kick.
Deon Moore made it 3-0 in the 50th minute, but Dominica pulled a goal back in the 75th minute through Troy Jules’ close-range finish.
However, Guyana restored control four minutes later when Kelsey Benjamin found the net with a right-footed effort, before Enoch George completed the rout in the final minute of regulation time.
In the night’s other match, Puerto Rico climbed to second place in the group with a convincing 3-0 victory over the Cayman Islands.
The hosts took the lead in the 26th minute through Ricardo Rivera before Wilfredo Rivera doubled the advantage on the stroke of half-time.
Leandro Antonetti then sealed the win with an injury-time penalty.
