The Editor, Sir:
In response to your article on Monday regarding 'Ready Freddy' and similar wood carvings in Fern Gully, I must state that I find them utterly revolting and vulgar. They are in poor taste and should never be made, much less put on display in a place as public as Fern Gully which is traversed on a daily basis by people of all ages, races and religious persuasions.
We need to take greater care to temper whatever is presented in public spaces in order to avoid offending others. If Jamaican men in particular would focus less on the size of their genitalia and pay more attention to caring for their children, we would not have half the social problems that are currently plaguing the nation.
