Bigga teams up with prep netball
The 2010 Bigga-JISA Prep School netball competition was launched on Thursday at the Leila Robinson Courts in Kingston.
This year represents the fifth that Bigga will be sponsoring the competition.
"Bigga is happy to be sponsoring this year's Bigga-JISA Prep School netball competition," said Joffia Johnson-Bell, marketing executive at Wisynco with responsibility for Bigga. "Our overall commitment includes cash, purchase of medals, products and promotional support."
Hydel Prep are the defending champions, while the new entrants in this year's competition are Sacred Heart Prep from Christiana, and Manchester and Richmond Park Prep from the Corporate Area.
Twenty-five schools will take to the courts in this year's staging of the competition, which will get under way on Tuesday.
The schools will compete in four zones on a round-robin format that will see the zone winners and the runners-up advancing to form two groups, which will play again on a round-robin format, after which the group winners will compete in the final.
The rally, which took place immediately following the launch, was won by Dunrobin, while Quest took home the trophy for topping the dress parade.
